Can Not Forget

Making a statement in type! Work outs are a P R I O R I T Y. With the added activities and, to do lists of this time of year, the exercise time allotment has been getting bumped. This has to stop. Without the exercise I can feel patience and feeling good at lesser levels. Another time victim is eating small regularly spaced meals. From past history that wreaks havoc and has to be dealt with. Have to remind myself not to put these things at the bottom of the lists. Tomorrow has to be, get to the gym before anything else, to get back in line. Afraid of weigh in again but will have to just bite the bullet.

Rie , would it help to take or keep food in your car for times when you have no time, in the YOAD book they have cereal , nuts and dried fruit for a snack...that would work good for snacks on the go.
I am alos afraid of the weigh in. It's a monthly weigh in on Monday and I will have lost nothing for the month or gained. It's been four months and I have only lost 15 pounds...what the heck!
I am old and have thyroid issues...but come on.

I just need to make it through the Holidays.

Stay strong!

Hi Chari,
The nuts might work. I try and limit cereal and (picky picky, I know) do not really like dried fruit. Plus when running around or doing things where food is not readily available I'm usually not hungry. Just do it I guess.

Weigh in was the same. It bugged me but at least it was not a big gain. I've been getting bloated and was afraid it was going to be up and over. (I weigh every time I'm at the gym and it is always bouncing around a 5 pd. spread) Maybe your weigh in will not be bad. Good vibes being sent from here for you.

I hear you about age and thyroid. Had my levels checked for the six month test and they said the counts were fine. Still I made an appt. with the doc. for this week to go over this all. The stall is really getting to me!!! Had thought YOAD was the answer, nothing had worked like it but now it is back to "getting no where fast". The only thing that keeps me hanging on is at least this time the weight is not climbing back(like past attempts). I'd had hormone problems before starting and they had seemed to go away but lately some of the signs are back. Had hoped the food and exercise had ended that all. Argh! Have to see the liver doc in Jan. He wanted a lot more weight off by this check! The trainers at the gym said they would back up how I've worked but do not think it would make him any happier. It will be interesting to see what those blood test say.

It is so aggravating when your doing what you're told and it just stops working. Keep thinking it will kick in again soon, all this elevated heart rate and sweat has to add up to something. And how does DH do nothing, eat everything and more and not gain? Think this is spiraling into pity party time so better stop.

Hi Chari,
It did not go good at all. Which makes the upcoming Jan. visit something I am really looking forward to, Ha. He is usually the "bad cop" one. Today determined to get out of the mind funk of it. No answers or advice. Just do what your doing and it will take time, it's been months. It is just hard when you see no results and then they come up with more things wrong and a just try and think it could have been worse if you were not doing it, pat on the head. But at the same time, get the weight off as an ending note. Yah that is why I came in, wanted to know what else to do. She comes back with there is no magic pill. I know that and was not asking for that. I'd eat less, work more or stand on my head for days if it would get things moving, at this point just want to find something to get it going again. Wanted to get off some meds and definitely did not want to go on more. She did not feel the liver, hormones or meds were having any part in it. She left the trygl.s out for now because waiting for the blood work coming from the Jan. appt. I am hoping the count for that is good.

I know about the starvation mode stuff but think for just a short while I'm going to cut it down and try and keep the food simple and clean. That along with make the workouts really intense instead of adding lots of time. Hoping to clean out as best as possible before the blood test.

How are things on your end?

Have you ever tried calorie cycling? That may work for you ...it tricks the body and you won't go into starvation mode.

Don't ya just love them Doctors!

I started just having a banana for breakfast instead of cereal and that's helping. Maybe I am taking in to many complex carbs. I am just coasting along right now, have not been to the gym in three days and Lexie is out of school Dec. 20th - Jan. 2nd so no gym those two weeks. I can't lose any weight if I don't workout, so I guess I will just be tying to hang on to the loss thus far. After Christmas look out!

On a good note the new faucet is in and looks fab! I should post a picture in my blog of my handy work.

Take care Rie
