Is there any one else working their program and not just stuck but fighting to keep from gaining? This all worked great the first year, second year hit some stalls and now just not sure what is up. Test shows thyroid medicine is working fine. What to do?
For now going to still eat clean, portion and workout. The good thing with working out is it sure helps my mood and feels great. The foot swells up but doctor said that is okay as long as it is not pushed to the point of hurting. The twenty minute speed walk is about that point. It felt so funny in the pool at first. Three toes are still off in their feeling from the nerve being cut. Could not run in the water yet but was able to get most other things in.
So want to get the numbers falling again. Fingers crossed for this coming week!

Hi Rie,
According to what I've read, when we first start working out our muscles hang on to water to help them repair themselves.
He also says that this is a critical point because many people become frustrated by this and give up. Don't do it!!!
Your body is only adjusting itself. Drink alot of water to help your body repair itself.
Concentrate on all your positive accomplishments...exercise and healthy eating. The scale is fickle and won't necessarily give you an accurate indication of what's going on weight loss wise.
Ok? :0)
*waves* hi, we appear to be in the same world! haha
:)
I'm hanging in there. gains or not, I'm still hanging in.
You can do it too!!!!!!
course...my eating has gone to sh*te, so I know what is to blame.
yup. I had the same thing. When I first started in 07 the weight flew off. In O8 the few pounds I lost were a struggle, as I increased exercise and decreased calories.
I finally decided that my best option was WLS.
Even though your pounds may be increasing, your body is becoming more healthy by eating clean and exercising.
I, unforunately, don't know where you should go from here :( I'm rooting(sp?) for you!
Thank you for the support! There is no giving up, :-). Just keep trying.
I'm finding the same thing..., but I refuse to let it bother me. I started working out this month and the scale hasn't been kind to me, but I know that what I'm doing is right, so the results will show up soon enough! Just keep on plugging! You'll reap the rewards.
Good luck!
I've been dieting for over 3 weeks now and I've only lost 6 lbs. In fact, I had lost 8 lbs but gained 2 somewhere. I've been good and now I'm discouraged. I'm not going to give up, but I hate the numbers on the scale. My clothes are fitting better so I'm going to use that as a guide.
Weight is just weird. I was really trying hard for over a week and I didn't lose any weight but then went out and ate really bad all weekend and got on the scale...2 lbs down. What the heck? I think eventually the bad eating will catch up with me, just as the good eating and excercise will eventually catch up with you.
