Giving This A Try
I like having a plan and when it is not working having something else to give a go. The eating clean and portioned is great for a lot of reasons. I love that I'm not hungry or craving things. It helps immensely with internal workings. Those make the top of on my list. It just is not cutting it, for weight loss, without the exercise. Went back to looking into some of my initial problems. The gastrointestinal doctor mentioned the start of insulin resistance back at the beginning of this road. That had seemed to be gone but thinking the lack of raising the heart rate has started it back up. Decided to go back and read up on it again. I found several sites that took it stricter than I have been doing, cutting out grains, sweeter veggies and fruits and starches. This week I'm trying it out. When the heart raising exercise comes back into the plan then thinking the items can come back. There was a good article in this month's OnFitness magazine about insulin resistance, The Enemy Within. The article talks about the balance of foods and exercise. It has a cycling schedule, it reminds me a little in theory of the rotation we did while doing Core at Weight Watchers a few years back. I am going to hang on to it and try it out once that kind of exercise is back in the plan.

Eating clean is benefitting me in the same way...not hungry & no cravings.
I eat very little grain carbs. My body just won't let go of the weight if I eat more than one or two servings per day.
I doubt I'd be losing as much weight as I am without the exercise, also.
I usually stick to apples & berries for my fruits but I also eat bananas without a problem.
This week's Woman's World magazine's latest diet is a high protein/high veggie combo for weight loss.
I hope you find the right balance to help you drop the excess weight. It's trial and error I think to find what works for each of us.
I admire the fact that instead of completely giving up that you're just trying a different approach.
I got rid of insulin resistance within a very short period of time by following Mary-Ann Shearer's Natural Way. And I lost about 10 pounds per month without exercise. Now that I'm exercising, I can't wait to see what the results will be!
I did a review of her latest book yesterday, if you're interested.
I have to be very strict with grain carbs. My body just loves to hang on to it's fat! I agree, it pays to try different things to mix it up.
Weight loss is always slower when we are slow moving! Be patient, you'll be up and at it soon!
Hope your foot heals quickly and you get your balance of foods and exercise!

That does sound pretty strict...I'm lucky not to have health problems which limit what I can eat. Then again, that might actually help me achieve my weight loss goals - if I was limited!
