Get Back In the Game

Ok, have not posted because the foot and leg got pretty bad and was just in such a negative place.  I was so afraid having the operation was the wrong thing to do.  That will not help so have to get past it.  Like anything else you make your choices and work on from them.

With Sunday's weigh in two more of the gained pounds have come off.  It's a start.  Think it helped that I stopped the pain meds.  At least I do not feel sick anymore.  The food end of six week challenge has been fine but did not do the upper body work until tonight. Used the reformer but the foot still throbs, going to talk to the doctor at the appointment tomorrow about it.  May switch to just hand weights and medicine ball.

Heard this quote again while watching Dr. Christiane Northrup, Sunday morning and it was such a good reminder right now.
“We must let go of the life we have planned, so as to accept the one that is waiting for us.” ~Joseph Campbell

I think foot surgery takes some time to heal from, doesn't it? Try not to feel too bad about it just yet. It'll get there.
I love quotes as you may know & love the one you posted. We really do have to get out of our own way sometimes.
Take care of yourself!

Love the quote - very good advice indeed.

I've been on the recieving end of a few surgeries, they are never great and its a struggle to get back to "normal". I'll keep my fingers crossed for you that the remaining recovery is fast! :)

Gratz on keeping your food good and for another 2lbs down.
Cheers

Sorry your having pain with your footsie. Give it time, sometimes healing just takes time.

Wow! 2 lbs gone! Fantastic. And I love the quote, too! Where do you watch Dr. Northrup? I like her but guess I didn't know I could watch her somewhere, I hope, anyway.

Take it easy and feel better soon!

She was on our PBS channel fundraising programing. She was covering her Menopause and Beyond – New Wisdom for Women. She was very good.
