Ok forgot how much I love yoga! It has been SO many years. This class is the Hatha version. (May try the Flow Yoga in the future) The instructor is really great. Wish it was more than once a week. As the class went along I could really feel it and then it went back to a more restful stretch. So in the end you felt full circle. Though still not feeling 100% went to the class and managed to not cough through the whole thing. After class I was going to get on the treadmill but could feel the wheeze/tickle and decided to forget it for today. Treated myself to the steam room, the sinuses loved it. May not have been the hardest workout but it has me feeling better than the last week. It is nice to have something that works the body but relaxes and destress you at the same time.
Another new set of goals ...
- Better over all balance on some of the positions
- Be able to go further with some of the stretches
- Better muscle endurance for some of the positions
- Smoother breathing for some of the positions
Yoga inspirational message pick for the week ... When we seek to discover the best in others, we somehow bring out the best in ourselves.

Rie I'm glad your feeling better and loving your Yoga! I bought a DVD of Yoga one time and a mat, with good intentions....I hated it!
Maybe I should give it another go.
Did you see the Doctor Oz. Green drink recipe? Sounds gross but healthy.
Hope all is well, what ever hppened with the calorie counting thing?

Hi Chari,
I have not been good with using the stuff at home. Part of the love of that class is the instructor and how she runs it. The lights are dim, she has (corny as it sounds)great background music, and she at least at that class had a very nice mix and flow of positions. It had a nice mix of stretch but in the middle it gave a burn as well then relaxing stretch in the end. Was great for just letting it all go. Most of the rest of the people have been workinig together for a while. They were all so funny and friendly. Not everyone likes it though, years ago I did it along with the public tv show Lilias Yoga and You (I think it was called). My mom would say she should try and then she would hate it. Never was her thing.
Did not see the drink. But I'm bad with most "healthy" drinks. Like my kids and veggies. Better at eating, good for you things. There was a health food store by our old house that would make up all kinds of good for you drinks and have samples. They thought it was funny the faces I made when trying them (did not happen often). Lots of customers bought them though.
As for the Cal King there had been no change and then got sick. Not sure if just not enough time or what. Either way going to keep at it, Adding the yoga and a second Pilates classs. What else can ya do but keep trying? Actually put on weight while sick ^(*!% going to try and get it off by Sunday! The elliptical was going fast today... kept thinking it is coming off!
