Never Thought This Was Happening Again

Still surprised with the outcome in Yoga class today. It was a make up class and there were only about half of us there. All the others that were there are long timers. They all decided to ramp up the class. We did a lot of different things, very interesting. It came to a time where they wanted to do poses with splits. Thought oh no, that will never happen on my part. The instructor ran us through some stretches and lead up poses and with the help of some yoga bricks to start, the suprise happened. I was doing the splits. Not pretty but for the first time not bad either.

Of all the types of workouts over this time Yoga has consistantly brought the challenge and good feeling after. Other things have shown progression and helped weight loss but nowhere near the inner raise in spirits and connection with the body for me.

Mr. Scale Smiled At Me Today

Well no matter what, that scale is not going back up after today at the gym. It is not the Sunday weigh in but I check it most days at the gym and today it was back to the lowest again, 216. It has been twenty one weeks to get back to this weight. It had inched up and then bounced around up there. The bounce stops now! So hoping to be even at least a little bit less by Sunday, then it would be a new low. Going to really work it to get that.

The kettlebell class is not going to float. Looked at the sign closer and it is 240$ for a 12 week class. Just not going to swing that (little joke). The Pilates and Yoga class are not that much and I really like them. Maybe when it is not new anymore it will come down.

New Day, Yeah

Feeling so much better today. Why the insides go off sometimes I'll never figure out. Just glad when they get back inline. Sad that there are no classes at the gym this week but it has helped break from the regular rotation at of working out. Plus it is less crowded, mostly the regulars. Got back on the stationary bike today and really worked it. The legs are still feeling it. They had a sign up for a new class, Kettle Work Out. Wondering if it would be a good fit. I had seen a piece on one of the morning shows about these classes. Just a little afraid it may be to tough. May have to ask around.

I have a new idea for a switch in life and if it happens, REALLY would like to have a lot less of me. Have to get this body burning and reshaping, fast!

The Good And The Bad

The big news, at least to me, is the waist finally let go of it's stubborn streak and dropped a half an inch. That may not sound like much but it has been at 34 1/2 or 34 range for sooo long. It seemed like that was where the tape measure was going to stay forever. Now the bad, well not bad but bummer, during the week there had been a pound down but for what ever reason it was back at last week's number this morning. Even checked it twice, like that would help. Hopefully next week will have this week's and the coming week's loss to show. Onderland just seems like an impossible dream at this point. But not going to give up on that dream.

And, yay, got the new look for the page going. Just did not manage multiple pages.

Now If Only Boat Pose Variations Were Easier

Well things are still moving this week but it is a slow going thing. Not complaining it is a much better thing than the past few months. Plus the P.M. cardio has not been on a regular basis like I would like. The guys have been so sick that the house is not on regular routine. Even if the weight is just off from the lowest this week I am happy with the advances in the yoga that I am making. Strength poses are being held much longer. Twist poses are going much deeper and feeling great. Balance poses are actually not wobbly. Today for the first time my head got to the floor in the Wide Legged Forward Bend. Never thought that was coming so soon. There was a sub for the instructor and she was very good with instruction and soft encouragement. She also had some different challenging variations. Interesting to see how different each instructor is!

At Least Some Movement

Well was happy at weigh in even though only one pound off this week (waist the same). Back into the 2teens, finally. Would have liked more but sadly the evening cardio did not happen with a lot of stuff popping up and sick guys in the house. Tried to really stick to the food plan and work the intensity while exercising. Just lately the instructors have noticed the increase in over all flexiblity and added strength and endurance of core work. There is still a long way to go with the core strength/endurance but it had seemed like it was never going to improve. The legs, back and arms have shown increased ability much faster. Guess take it as it comes and keep at it.
